Josh Brown
Hello, I am Josh Brown, and I currently work as a school psychologist for the Anchorage School District. I attended the University of Saint Francis in Fort Wayne, Indiana for my PsyS, and I interned at a mid-sized district in the same town. I moved to Alaska four years ago to start my professional career with ASD.
Outside work, I spend most of my time with my two dogs, cat, and partner. We like to go out on hikes, skiing, biking, and all the other outdoor activities that Alaskans love to do. I’m also currently immersing myself in the world of autobiographical audiobooks. As the Legislative Chair, I am hoping to provide updates about all that is happening in the legal world that affects our day-to-day practices including advocacy for changes to make our jobs more aligned with the NASP practice model.

McKinzie Clark
Hi, my name is McKinzie Clark, and I’m proud to be one of the first students in the University of Alaska Anchorage’s new School Psychology program. I’ve spent most of my life here in Chugiak, Alaska, and much of that time has been in schools, mainly as a student and frequently as a guest in my mother's classroom, where she worked as a special education teacher. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UAA in May 2025. Growing up in a military family sparked a lifelong love of travel—I’ve been fortunate to visit over 15 countries (and counting!). I’m honored to serve as the first Student Representative on the ASPA board. In this role, I hope to amplify the voices of my fellow graduate students as we navigate this journey together, advocating for support, celebrating our progress, and helping shape the future of school psychology in Alaska. I’m excited to grow alongside such passionate peers and professionals and to contribute to the vital work ASPA does across the state. |
